Data Scientist

• Transform how the legal industry operates with the way you use our data 
• Build data pipelines to feed into product, sales, marketing, and AI
• Autonomously work from deep data analysis to providing customer insights

Your wish is our command

The law should be accessible to everyone, and this is where your skills will shine as you instil a culture of data based decision making at Genie AI. You’ll work closely across the whole business to build our data infrastructure, establish the direction we’re looking to go, and provide the insights to make it happen. 

Initially reporting to Nitish, our CTO and Co-founder, you’ll be empowered to elevate Genie through the power of data. Nitish likes to be there for collaboration when you need him, and will inspire you to push yourself outside your comfort zone.

Your place in our palace

As our inaugural Data Scientist at Genie AI you’ll be working in a fast pace and autonomous startup environment. Some of your key day to day duties include:

• Design, build, and maintain data pipelines to be able to draw business insights
• Work with stakeholders across marketing, sales, product, and operations to identify the insights we’re looking to learn from data
• Share and present data insights in an easily digestible way across the business
• Build and improve our data infrastructure
• Ensure we focus on high impact work and growth activities through robust experimental results that removes opinion from discussion

Your existing magic to succeed in this role

• A proven track record of driving business outcomes / decisions
• Able to present data and charts in a simplistic way
• You’re a curator of data culture
• You know how to utilise the following technologies:
  • Cloud platforms: e.g. AWS, GCP
  • Data warehouse: e.g. BigQuery, Elastic search
  • Data modelling: e.g. Spark
  • Programming Languages: e.g. Python, Scala, Shell Scripting
  • Big data technologies: e.g. Hadoop, Spark
  • ETL tools: e.g. Segment
  • Database: e.g. SQL (PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Cassandra)
  • BI tools: e.g. PowerBI or Looker
  • Product Analytics: e.g. Mixpanel
