Role Summary

The Social Graphic Designer is an independent contractor responsible for designing high-quality visual content for social media across internal brand accounts, client campaigns, and creator partnerships. This role focuses on producing thumb-stopping graphics that align with brand voice, platform best practices, and campaign objectives. The contractor works independently while collaborating asynchronously with the accounts team to deliver completed visual assets based on defined creative briefs, timelines, and quality standards. The engagement is project- and deliverable-based.

Core Skillsets Required

Social Media Design Expertise

  • Proven experience designing graphics specifically for social media platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, and X
  • Strong understanding of platform-specific formats, sizing, and visual trends
  • Ability to create scroll-stopping visuals optimized for performance and engagement

Brand Voice & Creative Alignment

  • Ability to interpret and apply brand guidelines, tone, and visual identity consistently
  • Experience designing for multiple brands or clients while maintaining quality standards
  • Comfort adapting creative direction based on feedback and campaign goals

Design Tools & Production Workflow

  • Proficiency with tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Figma, Canva, or equivalent
  • Ability to independently manage files, exports, and asset delivery
  • Uses their own hardware, software, and licenses

Creative Collaboration

  • Experience working from creative briefs, content calendars, or campaign outlines
  • Ability to collaborate with account managers or content teams without requiring real-time supervision
  • Clear communication around timelines, revisions, and deliverables

Independent Contractor Readiness

  • Operates autonomously and may serve multiple clients
  • Comfortable working on a per-project or per-asset basis
  • Manages workload, timelines, and creative execution independently

Contractor Engagement Scope

  • Deliverables may include static posts, story graphics, thumbnails, and campaign visuals
