Storyteller

We are looking for a Graphic Designer with a solid grasp of typography, typesetting, and design tools like Figma, Adobe Creative Cloud (especially Adobe Photoshop and InDesign).

Storyteller is a high growth B2B SaaS platform, which allows companies to integrate Stories into their owned and operated platforms. Popularized by Instagram and Snapchat, Stories are perfectly suited for boosting user engagement, audience retention, and driving advertising revenue. For customers, building their own stories experience can take years and a lot of investment however Storyteller has solved this by allowing companies to integrate in days, not years all for one monthly cost. Our end‑to‑end platform gives companies a best‑in‑class Stories experience in days with native iOS, Android, and Web SDKs, publishing tools, analytics, and ad support.

RESPONSIBILITIES 

Key areas of focus include: 

  • Software Proficiency: Expertise in Figma, Adobe Photoshop and InDesign. 
  • Design Principles: Mastery of grid systems, hierarchy, balance, layout, typography, typesetting, colour theory. 
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous, intelligence in layer naming and file organisation. 
  • Organisation: Strong organisational skills and able to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Traits: Creative and conceptualisation skills, versatile and tech-savvy.

What can you expect?

  • Using Figma and Adobe Creative Suite to produce high-quality social content for high-profile sporting clients. 
  • Design and produce promotional materials, advertisements, and digital assets. 
  • Create visually compelling posters and digital assets for online platforms. 
  • Design engaging promotional materials using existing branding guidelines and source material, including client-provided style guides. 
  • Produce assets that convey a clear and effective message with impact and creative flair to encourage click-through or engagement. 
  • Follow client accounts and competitors on digital and traditional media to research and propose ideas for engaging and innovative content. 
  • Manage time effectively to produce multiple assets per day and communicate with managers on progress. 
  • Learn and utilize collaborative tools to drive assets through internal processes. 
  • Develop your skills by learning from other team members and through independent research. 
  • Extended hours as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

What’s important to us:  

  • Bachelor’s degree/diploma in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or equivalent experience. 
  • Proven experience as a Graphic Designer, with a strong portfolio showcasing a range of design work. 
  • Excellent eye for detail, particularly regarding typography, layout and color. 
  • Advanced understanding of Figma and knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, especially Photoshop. 
  • Experience with workplace collaboration tools such as Slack, Airtable. 
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills. 
  • Ability to take creative direction and work independently with minimal supervision. 
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at a time and meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Proactive individual with a high sense of urgency. 
  • Ability to adjust well to feedback and changing priorities. 
  • High work ethic, self-motivation, dependable and reliable.  
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken. (min. C1 English) 
  • Experience with social media platforms and digital marketing. 

What’s nice to have:  

  • Experience with design system, building one from scratch. 
  • UI Design. 
  • Illustrations.

Flexibility 

We’re a remote-first company and support 100% remote working for this role. The working hours for this role are:

  • Within UK/Europe –  9.30am – 5.30pm BST
  • Within LATAM – 11:00am – 7:00pm EST 

Joining us means becoming an integral part of the whole team no matter where we’re physically working, we have a number of initiatives to create a team environment regardless of geographic location.    

PAYMENT 

Within Europe, up to 30,000 EUR per annum (or local currency equivalent), depending on experience and skills. 

Within UK, up to £28,000 per year, depending on experience and skills.

Within LATAM, up to 25,000 USD per annum (or local currency equivalent), depending on experience and skills. 

CONTRACT TYPE 

Outside of UK – full time contractor contract, fully remote working from anywhere in Europe or LATAM!

Within UK – permanent / full time employment contract. Working either within our Edinburgh office or remote within the UK.

RECRUITMENT PROCESS 

Firstly, you will be asked to complete an online video which will involve answering a mixture of questions. Dependant on this, you will then be sent a design task that aims to test your skills.

Finally, you will be invited for a final 60 minute interview via MS Teams with Andy, our Chief Delivery Officer and Elia.
