Job Overview

Job Description

Mint Source is a remote-first bridge that connects vibrant talent with international clients and agencies, enabling skilled individuals to showcase their expertise on a global stage.

Role Overview

Mint Source is hiring a Creative QA Specialist to join a Canadian performance creative agency that builds scroll-stopping static ads for DTC brands across health, apparel, pet, and fitness verticals. You’ll be the final set of eyes before any ad ships, catching every typo, alignment issue, brand inconsistency, and visual error that would otherwise reach a paying audience. The role sits at the end of the creative pipeline, working alongside strategists, designers, and AI image creators to make sure the work going out the door is polished, on-brand, and free of avoidable mistakes. This is a focused QA role: you won’t be writing, designing, or strategizing. you’ll be reviewing. Your work directly protects the agency’s reputation with clients spending real money on each ad.

What You’ll Do

  • Review every static ad before it ships, checking copy, visuals, and brand alignment with obsessive attention to detail
  • Catch typos, grammar errors, punctuation issues, awkward phrasing, and copy inconsistencies across headlines, body copy, and CTAs
  • Verify visual elements: alignment, spacing, typography, color usage, image quality, logo placement, and overall composition
  • Cross-check every ad against client brand guidelines for fonts, colors, tone, and visual standards
  • Confirm dimensions, file specs, and format requirements for each placement (Meta, TikTok, etc.) before assets go live
  • Flag execution errors, broken layouts, low-resolution images, or off-brand elements back to the relevant designer or strategist with clear, specific feedback
  • Maintain a QA checklist that evolves as you spot new error patterns across multiple client accounts
  • Coordinate with the project manager and creative team through the agency’s internal project management tool and Slack to keep work moving quickly without skipping QA
  • Track recurring issues and surface patterns that point to systemic gaps in the creative process

What We’re Looking For

  • 2+ years of experience in a QA, proofreading, or detail-focused review role, ideally inside a creative agency, marketing team, or publishing environment
  • Native or near-native English fluency, with a sharp eye for grammar, spelling, punctuation, and copy consistency
  • Familiarity with performance marketing static ads, especially Meta and TikTok ad formats and specs
  • Comfortable reviewing visual creative for alignment, typography, hierarchy, and brand consistency. you don’t need to design, but you need to see clearly
  • Experience working from brand guidelines and applying them consistently across high volumes of assets
  • Highly organized and methodical, able to maintain checklists and processes across multiple client accounts running in parallel
  • Calm under pressure and comfortable in a fast-moving production environment where ads are shipping daily
  • Direct, specific feedback style: you can tell a designer the kerning is off without softening it into nothing

Key Performance Metrics (KPIs)

  • QA throughput: number of ads reviewed and signed off per day, matched to the agency’s production pace
  • Error rate: percentage of ads shipped without QA issues being caught downstream by clients or the founder
  • Turnaround time: average time from receiving an ad for review to delivering QA feedback
  • Pattern documentation: contribution to QA checklists and process improvements over time
  • 30/60/90 ramp: by day 30, fully understanding the agency’s QA standards and brand guidelines across all active client accounts; by day 60, working independently on QA across all client accounts with minimal oversight; by day 90, identifying recurring error patterns and proposing process improvements that reduce QA cycle time

What You Get

  • Competitive compensation discussed individually based on experience and location
  • Remote-first setup with the flexibility to work from anywhere
  • A focused, well-defined role with clear scope. no scope creep into design or strategy
  • Structured feedback loops and clear KPIs from day one
  • Back-office support from Mint Source for payroll, onboarding, and HR
