Job Highlights:

  • Schedule : Monday to Friday 9AM to 6PM Brisbane time / 40hrs per week

About the Role

The Contracts Manager will oversee the entire contract lifecycle, including supplier agreements, large-scale customer contracts for preventative maintenance and

comprehensive service agreements, and the parts and services required for recurring jobs. This role also involves analyzing job profitability, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and collaborating across all departments to ensure contract efficiency and business success.

Responsibilities:

Contract Management & Administration

  • Oversee all contracts in the business, including supplier agreements, customer service contracts, and recurring job agreements.
  • Draft, review, negotiate, and finalize contracts, ensuring legal compliance and alignment with company objectives.
  • Maintain a contract repository, tracking key dates, renewals, expirations, and obligations.
  • Collaborate with management, sales, service, store, technicians, finance, operations, and compliance teams to ensure contract execution.
  • Work closely with compliance to ensure contracts meet all regulatory requirements.

Job Profitability & Cost Optimization

  • Analyze contract profitability, assessing whether recurring jobs and service agreements are financially viable.
  • Identify areas for cost reduction without compromising service quality.
  • Work with finance and operations to ensure contract pricing aligns with business objectives.
  • Recommend process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce unnecessary costs.
  • Provide regular reporting on job performance, highlighting trends and areas for improvement.

Risk Management & Compliance

  • Identify potential risks in contracts and propose mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure all contracts meet legal, industry, and regulatory requirements.
  • Work with the compliance team to ensure contracts align with ISO 9001 standards. Stakeholder Collaboration & Communication
  • Work closely with all internal teams to ensure smooth execution of contracts.
  • Support the sales team with contract negotiations and pricing strategies.
  • Assist the service and technical teams in managing contract deliverables.
  • Engage with the finance team to track revenue, costs, and profitability of service agreements.

Requirements

  •  Legal Background: Experience in contract law, business law, or a related legal field is highly desirable.
  • Contract Management Experience: Prior experience managing contracts in a technical, service-based, or healthcare-related industry.
  • Analytical & Financial Acumen: Ability to assess job profitability, cost structures, and financial impacts of contracts.
  • Negotiation & Risk Management: Strong ability to negotiate contracts, identify risks, and mitigate financial losses.
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to identify contract discrepancies, compliance issues, and inefficiencies.
  • Communication & Collaboration: Experience working across multiple departments, including management, sales, service, store, techs, finance, operations, and compliance.
  • Organizational & Reporting Skills: Proven ability to manage multiple contracts, deadlines, and financial reports.
  • Tech-Savvy: Experience using contract management software or CRM systems (e.g., Simpro) is an advantage.
