Job Description
Draft.dev is hiring a Client-Facing Content Strategist to lead growth strategy for technical content programs. This role owns the thinking behind client engagements: translating business goals into clear content strategies, guiding production and promotion, and leading clients with confidence and clarity. You will work closely with our engineers who create the content and Draft.dev’s leadership while serving as the strategic point of contact for clients.

Draft.dev is a technical content marketing agency that helps B2B software companies build predictable growth engines through high-quality, developer-focused content. Our clients are typically selling software and tools to developers, data professionals, or technical decision-makers. We work with companies of all size, from Series-A stage startups to some of the biggest enterprises in the industry (Docker, Jetbrains, Cloudflare). Draft.dev’s specialty is combining specialized technical knowledge with marketing best practices, individual research, creative distribution, and data-driven reporting, so content doesn’t just get published, it drives real business outcomes. We are a small, remote, global team that values clear thinking, ownership, and calm execution.
And now we’re looking for someone to join as a full-time Content Strategist.
What You’ll Do:
1. Lead Client Strategy and Onboarding
- Run kickoff calls to align on ICPs, goals, and product positioning
- Audit existing content, analytics, and performance data
- Conduct competitive, SEO, community, and distribution research
- Identify foundational content needs (comparisons, tutorials, landing pages, thought leadership, etc.)
- Build and present clear content roadmaps with strategic justification
- Ensure successful handoff to our content production team and maintain the content roadmap as content is delivered and priorities change
2. Guide Promotion and Distribution
- Plan organic promotion across relevant platforms and communities (Linkedin, X, Reddit, Hacker News, etc.)
- Coordinate content syndication and publication on external publications
- Oversee and manage paid distribution on 3rd party newsletters and publications
3. Measure, Learn, and Iterate
- Lead monthly performance reviews with clients
- Analyze traffic, engagement, and conversion data
- Adjust roadmaps and strategy based on measured performance
- Continuously refine content systems and processes over time
Expectations:
- 5+ years in content strategy, content marketing, SEO, or related roles
- Experience working in developer marketing, developer relations, or a similar role at a developer tools company
- Comfort owning client relationships and leading strategy discussions
- Able to meet with clients in US and/or EU time zones
