Job Description
What this job can offer you
- Step into a senior individual contributor role that takes on the day-to-day operational work currently owned by the Localization lead and becomes the operational heartbeat of Marketing Localization.
- Be everywhere localization matters across Marketing: close to strategy, planning, production, data, tooling, freelance contractors, vendors, workflows, campaigns, web, lifecycle, SEO/GEO, CRO, sales enablement, and market prioritization.
- Lead through influence, coordination, and operational ownership. This role has no direct people-management responsibility for full-time employees; it oversees work delivered by freelance contractors and vendors.
- Act as the champion of operational excellence for localization within Marketing, making sure the function runs with clear priorities, strong execution, visible accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Build and run the operating model, reporting cadence, decision forums, and cross-functional ways of working that help Remote decide which markets to invest in, maintain, test, or sunset.
- Own and improve the end-to-end localization operations layer across priority marketing surfaces, including website, landing pages, lifecycle/CRM communications, sales enablement, and partner-influenced journeys.
What you bring
- Hands-on experience leading localization operations, marketing localization, international growth operations, global content operations, or a closely related function in a fast-moving B2B, SaaS, marketplace, or technology environment.
- Strong understanding of how localization contributes to digital demand generation, SEO/GEO, CRO, lifecycle marketing, lead routing, sales enablement, and full-funnel marketing performance.
- Operational excellence mindset: able to design scalable processes, governance, intake flows, prioritization mechanisms, stakeholder cadences, delivery rituals, dashboards, decision logs, and escalation paths.
- Data-driven judgment, with the ability to diagnose funnel gaps, evaluate market opportunity, and make pragmatic trade-offs across languages, markets, channels, quality levels, and investment tiers.
- Experience with localization vendors, TMS or localization platforms, automation workflows, content systems, QA processes, budget or renewal operations, and AI-assisted localization programs.
- Strong program management and stakeholder leadership skills, with the ability to stay close to many teams at once, spot risks early, influence senior partners, and translate ambiguous strategy into clear plans, owners, dependencies, milestones, operating rhythms, and measurable outcomes.
- High quality bar for buyer-facing localized experiences, with a practical understanding of compliance, SEO/GEO risk, buyer trust, and when to invest deeply, maintain, simplify, or sunset.
- Demonstrates strong automation and AI capabilities.
- Writes and speaks fluent English.
- It’s not required to have experience working remotely, but considered a plus.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the day-to-day operational leadership of Marketing Localization, acting as your manager’s operational counterpart and the “eyes everywhere” person across localization demand, strategic initiatives, campaigns, web and content launches, contractor and vendor workflows, tooling, quality, data, budgets, blockers, and cross-functional dependencies.
- Define and run the Localization 2.0 operating model across planning, prioritization, governance, intake, reporting, delivery standards, cross-functional engagement, operating reviews, and continuous improvement.
- Partner with Growth, Data, RevOps, Web, SEO/GEO, Content, Brand, Lifecycle, Sales, and Partnerships to build and maintain full-funnel non-English reporting from traffic through MQL, SAA, pipeline, and conversion outcomes.
- Maintain and operationalize the market and language prioritization framework, helping Remote decide where to invest, maintain, test, launch, leave, or sunset localization effort.
- Create and manage the touchpoint × tool × language coverage map for the non-English prospect journey, identifying where experiences work, where they break, and which gaps most directly affect MQL growth or conversion.
- Shift localization upstream by being present in the right forums and embedding localization input into campaign, landing-page, content, design, CRO, lifecycle, and routing decisions before English-first solutions are finalized.
- Lead operational rollout for priority-market initiatives, including localized design variants, non-English CRO tests, market-specific content needs, lifecycle gaps, and sales enablement gaps.
- Co-own localization tooling, freelance contractor and vendor operations, workflows, budgets, spend, renewals, quality, and trust governance, including review depth by market tier, funnel stage, buyer impact, compliance considerations, SEO/GEO risk, and AI-assisted or human-reviewed localization needs.
- Coordinate and oversee freelance language leads, localization coordinators, and vendors, and support internal stakeholders, so Remote can scale localized experiences without spreading effort evenly across every locale.
