Job Description
Our client is looking for a relationship-driven Business Development & Community Engagement professional to foster high-trust connections within their online investor community. This role focuses on engaging daily with members, qualifying leads across multiple sales tracks, and managing onboarding workflows. You will serve as a vital link between community members and the internal team, driving engagement while identifying genuine business opportunities.
Schedule: Monday to Friday, from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM Radford, VA time
Responsibilities
Community Engagement
- Be consistently active and visible within the online investor community, particularly Skool.
- Engage with members by commenting on posts, responding to questions, participating in discussions, and encouraging conversation.
- Proactively reach out to members when their posts, questions, or activity indicate a potential need or opportunity.
- Welcome new members and help them become familiar and engaged with the community.
- Build genuine relationships with community members and establish yourself as a trusted point of contact.
- Monitor community discussions to identify potential leads, investor needs, questions, and opportunities.
- Help maintain a positive, active, and valuable community environment.
- Attend and participate in trainings, calls, events, and other community engagement activities.
- Coordinate with Marketing on community initiatives, campaigns, and content, while focusing primarily on engagement and interaction rather than independently creating content.
Lead Qualification & Business Development
- Work and qualify inbound leads through Skool, social media, and the CRM.
- Engage prospects through DMs and conversations to understand their goals, needs, and level of interest.
- Identify which prospects are best suited for each of the company’s three primary tracks:
- Multifamily Sprint
- Investment Partner
- New Property Acquisition or Sale
- Work Multifamily Sprint leads through the qualification process up to the point where a call is scheduled with the closer (Cody).
- Identify opportunities within the community and social channels and appropriately transition qualified prospects into the sales process.
- Follow up with prospects and community members in a timely and personable manner.
Multifamily Sprint Coordination
- Coordinate paperwork, payment, onboarding, and kickoff calls with new Sprint cohorts.
- Maintain communication with new members throughout the onboarding process.
- Help new cohort members become engaged with the community and connected with relevant resources and activities.
CRM & Pipeline Management
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date CRM information, including lead details, interactions, and pipeline stages.
- Track conversations and follow-ups to ensure qualified opportunities don’t fall through the cracks.
- Keep the team informed of relevant investor activity, opportunities, and changes in prospect needs.
Collaboration
- Work closely with the Marketing Director on sales-funnel and community-engagement activities.
- Collaborate with the owner and agents to identify investors who may fit specific investment opportunities.
- Communicate investor preferences and needs to the owner and agents to help match them with appropriate opportunities.
- Coordinate with Marketing on content and community initiatives, providing insight into questions, topics, and discussions that are generating engagement.
- Collaborate with the broader team rather than operating in a silo.
Requirements
- Background in sales, business development, community management, or a related role.
- Strong working knowledge of investment real estate, financial services, or another high-trust/high-consideration space.
- Natural ability to understand what someone needs, engage them in conversation, and determine genuine opportunities without relying on overly salesy tactics.
- Personable, proactive, and comfortable communicating publicly and privately.
- Strong written and on-camera communication skills to participate in trainings, community activities, and member-facing initiatives.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage a multi-track pipeline without letting details slip.
- Collaborative and community-minded approach, quick to loop in marketing, ownership, or agents when appropriate.
