Job Description

BOGIO is an SMS marketing platform for e-commerce shops. Our customers include many of the top Swedish e-commerce brands, such as Xlash, Odd Molly, and Lace Laboratory, as well as boutique shops, such as Nikben and Organista. We’re now looking to scale the product (and the team!). As our first in-house designer, you will be a key part of that journey.

We’re looking for a well-rounded UX designer who can take ideas from conception and storyboarding to a high-fidelity design that can be implemented in code. A big part of your role will be to lay the foundations of a design culture in the product team—processes, tooling, vocabulary—that enables us to consistently ship a best-in-class product. Of course, you’ll be working closely with the rest of the team, and we’ll be supporting you every step along the way.

This is a remote-first position based out of Stockholm.

What you’ll be doing

  • Working closely with the product team to flesh out new ideas
  • Producing high-quality deliverables for our developers
  • Putting in place a (semi-) formal design system that scales
  • Setting the bar for “good” design at the company
  • Talking to users and other stakeholders

To be clear, this is a very hands-on role. You’ll be spending most of your days building stuff🛠️

Key skills

A solid understanding of the principles of usability and UX design.

We’ll be relying heavily on your judgement.

Experience working in software development teams.

You should know the difference between a “good design” and a good deliverable.

A maker mindset.

It sounds corny, but we’re here to build things, not just talk about them.

Excellent communication skills.

This is especially important since you’ll be working remotely with non-designers.

35-hour workweek – 5 hours of paid egentid

Egentid is the Swedish concept of dedicating time to do something good for yourself and something that makes you happy.

Egentid is essential for mental health. That is why BOGIO employees are paid for working 40 hours a week, but one hour of their workday is dedicated to doing whatever makes them feel good💫
