Job Description

What you’ll do

– Lead the design and implementation of backend services using Java + Spring Boot
– Define and evolve system architecture based on hexagonal architecture, ensuring clear separation between domain logic and infrastructure
– Design, build, and maintain microservices that are scalable, resilient, and easy to evolve
– Make technical decisions that balance business needs, performance, and long-term maintainability
– Review code, mentor engineers, and enforce engineering best practices
– Work closely with Product and other teams to translate requirements into well-designed technical solutions
– Ensure high standards for reliability, observability, and performance across services
– Identify technical risks early and drive solutions proactively

What we’re looking for

– Strong experience with Java and Spring Boot in production environments
– Solid understanding and practical experience with microservices architectures
– Hands-on experience applying hexagonal (ports and adapters) architecture
– Experience designing and consuming REST APIs
– Strong knowledge of SQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, or similar)
– Experience building and operating systems on AWS
– Experience leading technical discussions and mentoring engineers
– Strong ownership, clear communication, and pragmatic decision-making
