About the team and role:

The Solution Designer plays a critical role in bridging business needs and technical execution for the Native Engine Country Build. Acting as a key link between stakeholders, subject matter experts, and technical teams, the Solution Designer ensures that business requirements are accurately captured, translated into technical specifications, and implemented effectively. The role involves both hands-on configuration using available tools and the design of detailed specifications for product and development teams when custom solutions are required.

The Solution Designer is accountable for ensuring that delivered solutions meet the scoped requirements, are fit-for-purpose, and support scalable, compliant country builds.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Requirements Gathering & Analysis

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders and subject matter experts to understand and define Payroll Software Build requirements.
  • Translate business requirements into clear, actionable functional specifications.
  • Identify gaps, dependencies, and opportunities for process or product improvements.

Solution Design & Delivery

  • Configure and implement solutions within the system using available configuration tools.
  • When configuration tools are insufficient, design detailed technical specifications for the Product and Development Teams.
  • Partner closely with Development to clarify requirements and validate design feasibility.
  • Finalize configuration and validate delivered solutions against scoped requirements.

Quality Assurance & Validation

  • Conduct functional testing and solution validation to ensure business and compliance needs are met.
  • Support UAT (User Acceptance Testing) and address any identified defects or gaps.
  • Ensure solutions are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with best practices.

Collaboration & Continuous Improvement

  • Act as a liaison between business, product, development, and compliance teams to ensure alignment and shared understanding.
  • Provide feedback and insights to improve product capabilities and configuration tools.
  • Contribute to knowledge-sharing, documentation, and playbooks for future country builds.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems,  Business, HR , or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • 5+ years of experience in solution design, business analysis, or systems configuration, ideally in payroll, HR, or financial systems.
  • Strong experience translating business requirements into technical documentation and system configurations.
  • Familiarity with SaaS platforms, configuration tools, and enterprise system design.
  • Experience collaborating with product and development teams in an agile environment.
