We’re seeking a talented Freelance Copywriter to join our team remotely. This role is pivotal in crafting compelling narratives and distinctive brand experiences through engaging copy across various channels, including user experience (UX) copy.

Responsibilities

  • Craft Compelling Copy: Develop captivating copy for paid media campaigns, website content, product descriptions, email marketing, social media posts, and other marketing collateral, with a specific focus on UX copy that enhances user interaction and engagement.
  • Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work closely with the marketing team, e-commerce team, and external agencies to ensure alignment of messaging with brand guidelines and marketing objectives.
  • Adapt Tone and Style: Tailor messaging to resonate with diverse audiences while maintaining brand voice and tone consistency.
  • SEO Optimisation: Implement SEO best practices in copywriting to enhance visibility and drive organic traffic.
  • Copy Editing and Proofreading: Review and refine copy for accuracy, grammar, style, and coherence, utilising inspect-element on desktop and mobile browsers to ensure optimal copy length and quality, avoiding orphan text.
  • Stay Updated: Keep abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and best practices to continually enhance copywriting strategies.
  • Contribute to Strategy: Offer insights and ideas during brainstorming sessions to develop effective marketing strategies.

Requirements

  • Proven Experience: 3-5 years of experience in copywriting, preferably within digital marketing and e-commerce retail environments, with demonstrable experience in writing UX copy.
  • Exceptional Writing Skills: Demonstrated ability to produce clear, concise, and engaging copy with impeccable grammar and attention to detail.
  • Creative Thinker: Ability to generate innovative ideas and concepts while adhering to brand guidelines.
  • Adaptability: Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with evolving priorities and deadlines.
  • Team Player: Strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative mindset, able to effectively communicate and coordinate with cross-functional teams.
  • Musical Passion: A deep appreciation for musical instruments and related products is preferred.
  • Technological Proficiency: Familiarity with Google Suite, Adobe Creative Suite, and SEO tools is advantageous, along with proficiency in using inspect-element on desktop and mobile browsers to ensure optimal UX copy length and quality.
