Hi there!

Zapier is the hunt for a Social Media and Community Engagement Manager—an expert who understands the language of the internet and knows how to connect with audiences in a way that’s relatable and customer-first.

This role will be responsible for three key areas:

  1. Social video creation: We’re looking for someone passionate about starring in, creating, editing and producing social-first videos. You’ll take an editorial approach to finding repeatable content formats that highlight customers, partners, technology and trends.  
  2. Social media management: You’ll be the steward of our public channels and bring our brand to life on social media.
  3. Employee advocacy program: Encourage Zapier employees to act as representatives of the brand, by sparking and participating in conversations on channels like Linkedin, Discord and Reddit.

Social and tech are two fast moving industries — we’re looking for a visionary marketer ready to lean into risk, embrace experimentation, and make big bets on future trends.

About You

🚀 You’re a strategic marketing expert. You’re skilled in developing and leading strategies across various platforms that focus on audience growth, organic campaigns and innovative content formats. Prior social media experience is a bonus, but not necessary. We welcome applications from marketers, growth hackers and folks of various backgrounds with transferable skills.

🎥 Content creation is your playground. Whether in front of a camera or behind a keyboard, you create content that resonates and entertains, maintaining a strong brand voice and tone.

💡 You’re driven by what’s next. You’re not afraid to experiment with content, take calculated risks, and push boundaries. We want to hear about how you’re using emerging technologies like AI.

🌐 You’re fluent in technology. You have a deep understanding of the nuances of social platforms, including both mainstream and emergent ones. You’re adept at adjusting strategies to maximize reach and engagement, staying ahead by constantly monitoring trends and audience movements.

🔬 ELI5 is your specialty. You excel at explaining complex technological concepts in simple terms to diverse audiences, from automation newbies to expert tech researchers.

📊 Analytical thinker with an operational edge. You’re proficient in testing and iterating with a keen ability to link activities to business outcomes.

Things You’ll Do

  • Develop and lead a social media strategy across various platforms, aligned with company goals to ensure consistent messaging and brand positioning.
  • Create custom social media videos in various lengths, specifically designed for platforms such as Instagram, LinkedIn, and TikTok. These videos should effectively highlight key content themes and support marketing objectives, ensuring each piece is platform-appropriate and engaging.
  • Focus on audience growth, organic social campaigns, and establishing repeatable editorial formats to enhance engagement and brand visibility.
  • Design and implement an employee advocacy program to enhance brand representation across various channels.
  • Create entertaining video content that people want to share. You’re comfortable in front of the camera, have a knack for storytelling, and enjoy editing videos to be entertaining and educational.
  • Lead the development and production of video content and series specifically designed for social media platforms.
  • Manage external parties such as social freelancers, contractors or agencies to expand your impact.
  • Partner closely with teams across GTM to understand strategy and priorities, and support those through social content.
  • Manage budget and suggest resources to champion continuous improvement.
