Job Description

IvyPanda is seeking a dynamic and creative Social Media Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about education and student success, with a knack for engaging and growing our online community. As a Social Media Manager, you will be responsible for developing and executing our social media strategy, creating compelling content, and fostering an active and supportive online environment for students.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive social media strategy to increase our online presence and improve engagement.
  • Create, curate, and manage published content (images, videos, written posts) across all social media platforms including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, and others.
  • Monitor and respond to social media interactions, fostering a positive community atmosphere.
  • Analyze social media metrics and adjust strategies as needed to improve performance.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure brand consistency and align social media activities with broader marketing goals.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest social media best practices and trends, implementing them where appropriate.
  • Plan and execute social media campaigns, contests, and other interactive activities to engage students.
  • Manage social media advertising campaigns, including budget planning, targeting, and performance tracking.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Social Media Manager or similar role, preferably in the education sector.
  • Excellent knowledge of Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, and other social media platforms.
  • Strong writing, editing, and communication skills.
  • Ability to deliver creative content (text, image, and video).
  • Knowledge of online marketing and a good understanding of major marketing channels.
  • Analytical mindset and ability to interpret social media metrics and analytics.
  • Familiarity with social media management tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field is preferred.
