MakeUseOf.com is looking for content feature writers.
MUO is one of the largest technology publications on the web today. We aim to equip all readers, whether they’re newcomers to tech or seasoned veterans, with the tools they need to make the most of their technology.
We simplify complex topics into guides that anyone can understand, whether they’re looking for a list of great apps, need help fixing an issue, or want a product recommendation. Every article leaves the reader with something valuable to take away.
Candidates must have strong knowledge of at least one of our verticals: Windows, Mac,  iOS, Programming, Android, Security,Linux, Social Media, Internet, Productivity,DIY, Entertainment, Gaming, Creative,Smart Home, Work & Career, Wellness, and Tech Explained.

Job Responsibilities

• Write a minimum of 6 feature articles per month, with no upper limit
• Generate and pitch new ideas/topics for articles
• Stay up to date on the latest tech news, products and updates
• Input work into our in-house system and format images according to our guidelines

Application Requirements

• CV
• Cover Letter (tell us why you want to write for us)
• 2-3 articles you’ve written that demonstrate your writing abilities; tech articles a plus
• Specify the vertical(s) you are most interested in being considered for

Applicants must be highly motivated and possess the following requirements

• Relevant experience in writing
• Ability to break down complex topics
• Expert knowledge of one or more technology platforms, products or apps
• If you choose Mac, iOS, or Windows as your primary vertical, you must have macOS 13 Ventura, iOS/iPadOS 16, or Windows 10/11 (with the expectation of updating to the latest version ASAP after it’s made available)
• If you choose Smart Home, you must OWN smart home devices
