As a senior writer on the content team, you will play a crucial role in sharing Andela’s voice and effectively communicating our mission and values to our audience. Through exceptional storytelling, you will produce engaging – sometimes technical – content to build brand awareness and support top-of-funnel activity. This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about storytelling, community engagement, and making a positive impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop compelling and engaging content and marketing copy for various channels, including our monthly newsletter, social media, emails, website, ad campaigns, etc.
  • Research and write long and short-form content to support thought leadership, sales, and demand gen
  • Interview internal thought leaders to gather expert insights and produce content, including long-form LinkedIn posts
  • Contribute to the development of our annual content strategy and implement it accordingly
  • Collaborate with the growth marketing team to brainstorm and execute creative marketing campaigns that align with the organization’s goals
  • Craft clear and concise messaging that effectively communicates Andela’s services and platform to our target audience
  • Ensure all written materials are accurate, consistent, and adhere to Andela’s brand guidelines
  • Collaborate with graphic designers, social media specialists, and videographers to develop multimedia content that enhances written copy

Qualifications

  • 8+ years’ experience in a marketing, content, or communications role
  • Our content can be very technical in nature, so proven experience writing for technical B2B audiences on one or more of the following topics is a requirement: coding, DevOps, cloud computing, application engineering, AI, data engineering
  • Creativity, adaptability, and a passion for storytelling that engages and inspires technically-minded audiences
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a diligent eye for detail, language, flow, and style (we follow AP/CP Style)
  • A portfolio showcasing diverse writing samples across different marketing channels
  • Familiarity with SEO best practices
  • Andela is a fully remote company, as such your ability to work well in a fast-paced environment, utilizing tools such as Microsoft Teams and Word asynchronously, is critical
  • Strong research skills to gather and synthesize information from various sources.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Knowledge and understanding of the tech hiring community and its culture would be an asset
  • An understanding of how to leverage GenAI to enhance (not replace) the writing process and be more efficient is an asset

Compensation for this position ranges from 130,000 CAD – 140,000 CAD dependent upon experience.
