Job Description

We are looking for a Legal Counsel to join our global legal team and partner with external and internal stakeholders to handle complex key negotiations for Camunda’s sales department incl. top tier banks and insurance companies.

Your responsibilities will include: 

  • Drive deal negotiations towards the close, applying solution- and business-oriented tactical thinking while navigating internal approval workflows  for both the prospect and Camunda
  • Handle complex and extensive customer papers with diligence, accuracy, and speed in the context of quarterly sales target pressure
  • Communicate with internal stakeholders and managers as well as with the legal and procurement departments of our prospects, customers, and partners
  • Develop and contribute to legal templates and playbooks to streamline the legal-sales collaboration, and support legal enablement of other departments (especially the Sales Team)
  • Diligently ensure compliance and independently prioritize, organize, and manage legal projects, as well as day-to-day legal matters in various fields

*This is a remote role and can be based anywhere where we are eligible to hire, please find a list of available countries here. Please note that the majority of your internal and external stakeholders will be based in North America and an overlap of 3-4 hours in working hours is required for collaboration. 

What you bring:

  • Ability and/or willingness to use our product.
  • Around 3 years of experience  ideally trained at a top legal firm or tech company and more recently worked in-house for a tech start-up or scale up
  • Qualified lawyer in the U.S
  • Substantive knowledge with a proven track record in complex commercial negotiations with Customers, Partners and Suppliers in the B2B software industry
  • Significant, direct client/customer negotiation experience
  • Deep knowledge of software-industry IP licensing issues and related agreements, including the ability to draft, explain and sell key provisions both internally and to customers

Nice to have: 

  • Additional knowledge in Canadian Law or UK Law

Compensation

For external hires, we consider the skills and experience of the incoming candidate, but typically place candidates in the first half of the range to ensure ample room for growth over the entire lifecycle of the role.

Below is the annual Total Target Cash Compensation (Total Cash) range for Camundi located in one of our entities. Total Cash refers to base salary and 100% attainment of variable target, where applicable. Actual Total Cash offered will depend on factors such as skills and qualifications related to the role. To comprise the Total Rewards package, Camunda also offers equity (where applicable) in the form of a Virtual Employee Stock Option Plan and benefits based on the country of residence. 

The annual Total Cash range for this position for Camundi in our entities is as follows: 

  • United States: $122,800.00 to $184,100.00
  • Germany: €81,700.00 to €122,500.00
  • United Kingdom: £79,600.00 to £119,300.00
  • Singapore: S$152,500.00 to S$228,700.00
