ABOUT THE TEAM

The Creative Production Team sits within Learning, on the Supply side of the organization. We provide critical enablement services for all curriculums developed under the SAND and ALX brands. From technical courses on data science, to leadership training and internal onboarding courses, Creative Production is deeply enmeshed in the look, feel and interactivity of them all.

We pride ourselves on creating world-class multimedia content that places best-practice, interactivity, and the learner’s experience at the heart of what we do. Additionally, we foster a culture of continuous learning and experimentation, while actively making time for skills development, knowledge sharing and play.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Junior Multimedia Designers are responsible for the design, editing and animation of diverse multimedia assets. These assets will largely be used for learning material and accenting the learner’s experience, but a person in this role might also occasionally work on marketing content related to our curriculums. The day-to-day of this role is focused around implementation, review and revision of work. It is unlikely that this person would be responsible for the planning or design vision of a project. Rather, they would take the lead from senior team members’ planning and guidance, and assist where requested. Junior Multimedia Designers will also be mentored by a senior member of the team, in order to grow in their skillset, independence and responsibility over time.

REQUIREMENTS

  • 1-2 years experience in an agency or in-house creative studio.
  • A strong multimedia portfolio displaying range across digital design, animation, and film.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, After Effects, Photoshop, and Premiere Pro.
  • Design and assemble illustrations, either for static end-use or layered for later animation.
  • Design infographics and data visualizations for learning material.
  • Design and correctly utilize templates for client CI elements, such as presentations, documents, and email collaterals.
  • Design new and utilize existing motion graphic elements, such as video branding templates and kinetic typography overlays.
  • Storyboard and animate 2D vector graphics, including basic character animation.
  • Edit video and audio footage into cohesive videos for learning.
  • Re-brand existing graphics, videos, and animations into new styles.
  • Adhere to brand guidelines and ensure brand consistency in all your work.
  • Perform quality control checks on your own and peers’ work.
  • Enact changes to your work based on the provided feedback.
  • Strong communication skills, the ability to work to strict deadlines and the ability to think and work independently.
  • Act as a team player, providing support and feedback to peers, as well as contributing to the processes and ways of work of the team.
  • Manage your time efficiently, and prioritize effectively when working on multiple tasks and/or projects.

NICE-TO-HAVE

  • Experience in the EdTech industry.
  • Experience in Adobe Audition or similar audio processing software.
  • Experience in interactive graphics and animation (Rive or similar).
  • Knowledge of HTML and CSS.
  • Knowledge of AI-gen or AI-enhanced creative tools.
