Job Description
We’re looking for a strategic, organized, and impact-driven Fundraising Operations Officer to help take our fundraising programs to the next level. If you’re energized by building strong donor relationships, fine-tuning operations, and making a real-world impact through fundraising, this is your opportunity to make a difference for life, family, and freedom.
About the Role
As Fundraising Operations Officer, you’ll play a key role in CitizenGO’s revenue-generating activities by executing high-impact programs that build strong, lasting relationships with donors. From managing telemarketing campaigns and bequest strategies to optimizing data and systems, your work will be foundational to ensuring CitizenGO’s long-term sustainability.
You will report to the Fundraising Operations Manager and collaborate across teams to ensure our fundraising activities are smooth, effective, and mission-aligned. You’ll also be directly engaging with donors—especially mid- and high-level supporters—making this both a strategic and relational role.
Why Join CitizenGO?
At CitizenGO, you will be part of a dynamic, mission-driven team committed to creating real change. Here are the top 10 reasons why working with us is a unique and rewarding experience:
- Make an Impact: Your work will directly contribute to defending life, family, and freedom on a global scale.
- We’re Winning: You will join a successful team! Our campaigning works, and we’re changing politics and policies across the world. Check out some of our recent victories here.
- Bold Tactics: From petitions to street rallies, we employ bold, effective strategies to win.
- Independent Strategy: Our actions are driven by our members, not large funders, ensuring we prioritize what’s best for the world.
- Fearless in the Face of Opposition: We thrive in challenging environments, fearlessly facing off against powerful adversaries without backing down.
- Inspiring Teammates: You will work alongside helpful, kind, motivated, and talented individuals who share your values.
- Remote Flexibility: You will enjoy the freedom to work from anywhere, eliminating commutes and allowing you the flexibility to travel and live on your terms.
- Flexible Hours: You will benefit from adaptable work hours, ensuring you can be there for others and manage your day as you see fit.
- Connected Community: Though fully remote, our team fosters a strong sense of camaraderie.
- Results-Focused Culture: We prioritize efficiency and impact, ensuring a balanced work-life dynamic.
What You’ll Do
- You will manage and execute the telemarketing program with internal teams (and external agencies) to convert one-time donors to monthly donors, upgrade current donors, and engage midlevel and high-level donors. This includes defining campaigns, establishing key performance indicators, and writing scripts to meet and exceed goals.
- You will implement donor care and engagement programs that increase retention and strengthen engagement through a variety of channels.
- You will develop a solid bequest strategy to ensure CitizenGO has strong prospects of funding well into the future by performing solicitations and meeting KPIs for intended and confirmed bequests.
- You will effectively utilize databases for data analysis of all fundraising channels.
- You will constantly research fundraising best practices, particularly digital, as well as what other similar organizations in Spain and around the world are executing for testing.
- You will perform all data requirements for all fundraising programs, including but not limited to telemarketing, bequests, direct mail, and any other channels as required.
- You will manage accurate and timely gift fulfillment: invoicing, payment follow-up, composing acknowledgement and thank you letters for the Executive Director and other staff.
- You will manage and optimize fundraising operational processes to ensure the team is well coordinated, strategic, and productive, ultimately increasing revenue.
- You will maintain data and resources for team activities, including identification, qualification, cultivation, solicitation, administration, tracking, and reporting.
Who you are
- You have at least two years of experience in fundraising with a track record of achieving results.
- You understand donor conversion, retention, upgrades, and relationship-building strategies.
- You can design and manage high-performing telemarketing or donor engagement programs.
- You are comfortable speaking with donors, including mid- and high-level individuals.
- You are results-driven, deadline-conscious, and able to work independently with strong attention to detail.
- You have strong experience with G Suite (Google Docs, Sheets, Meet, etc.), Salesforce, Slack, and project management tools like Asana.
- You are experienced with mid- and major donor relationships, telemarketing, and legacy fundraising (bequests).
- You are enthusiastic about technology and quick to learn new tools.
- You are a clear communicator, both in writing and speaking.
- You are flexible and thrive in fast-paced, remote team environments.
- You have strong project management and task prioritization skills.
- You have a deep commitment to CitizenGO’s mission to defend life, family, and freedom.
- You are comfortable working within a hierarchical team structure and a culture of collaboration, results, and efficiency.
