We are seeking a motivated and experienced Sales Executive to drive attendee and sponsor acquisition for our tech events worldwide. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales, with a proven track record of exceeding targets and building successful client relationships within the tech industry. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with leading tech companies and influencers, while contributing to the growth and success of our global events portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

Sponsorship Sales:

  • Identify and engage potential sponsors, including tech companies, startups, investors, local community sponsors and service providers, to secure sponsorship packages for our events.
  • Develop customised sponsorship proposals tailored to the needs and objectives of prospective sponsors, highlighting the unique opportunities for brand exposure and engagement at our events.
  • Negotiate sponsorship agreements and contracts, ensuring mutually beneficial terms for both parties.
  • Provide ongoing support and account management to sponsors, ensuring their satisfaction and maximising their ROI from event participation.

Client Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients and sponsors, serving as their primary point of contact and trusted advisor.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling additional event packages for other future events or services to existing clients.
  • Conduct regular check-ins and post-event evaluations with clients and sponsors to gather feedback and insights for future improvements.

Market Research and Analysis:

  • Stay informed about industry trends, market developments, and competitor activities to identify new sales opportunities and market gaps.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential target markets and segments for event attendance and sponsorship.
  • Provide regular sales reports and updates to management, highlighting key metrics, sales performance, and areas for growth.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or related field is desirable.
  • Proven experience (5+ years) in B2B sales, preferably within the events industry or tech sector.
  • Strong understanding of event sponsorship sales processes and best practices.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate value propositions effectively to clients and sponsors.
  • Ability to work independently and remotely, with a high degree of self-motivation and initiative.
  • Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce), Microsoft Office suite, and online collaboration tools.
  • Willingness to travel for client meetings, industry conferences, and events as required.
  • Passion for technology and a keen interest in staying updated with the latest trends and innovations in the tech industry.
