Company Overview:

We are looking for hard-working, fun-loving, values-driven, self-starters to join us in building Gigbanc – Africa’s best neobank for freelancers and creators. We offer a fast, low-cost, reliable, way for African freelancers and creators to receive and send money from/to foreign clients and other individuals and easily store and exchange between multiple currencies. Our target customer is a digital freelancer (e.g. software engineer, graphic designer, etc) who is 20-35 years old, living in Africa and working for foreign clients. We seek to provide a truly enjoyable customer experience through thoughtful UI/UX design and best-in-class customer service. We also aim to enable our customers to build strong financial health through a suite of value-added products including bill payment, credit, insurance, investing, and more. At Gigbanc, we care deeply about our people and we are building a company where everyone feels included and empowered to thrive as the best possible version of themselves, both inside and outside the workplace. We have recently built our high-fidelity figma prototype, secured strategic partnerships, raised an angel round, and are now shifting gears towards building our MVP and launching in Nigeria.

Babatope Oni (CTO): Nigerian; Engineering Manager at Fairmoney, Nigeria’s top digital bank; CTO at Gokada, Nigeria’s top motorcycle last-mile delivery and ride hailing gig economy platform; CTO at Traction Apps, fast-growing Nigerian SME financing startup


Content Creation and Curation:

  • Develop engaging content strategies aligned with Gigbanc’s brand voice and objectives.
  • Craft compelling blog posts, social media updates, newsletters, and other digital content.
  • Collaborate with designers to create visually appealing content that resonates with our audience.

Community Engagement and Management:

  • Build and nurture a vibrant online community that embodies Gigbanc’s values and culture.
  • Actively engage with our community across social media platforms, forums, and other relevant channels.
  • Gather user insights, feedback, and sentiments to drive actionable improvements in our offerings.

Performance Analysis and Optimization:

  • Utilize analytical tools to track content performance and community engagement metrics.
  • Derive insights from data to optimize content strategies and community engagement initiatives.

Collaboration and Alignment:

  • Collaborate closely with the marketing and product teams to ensure consistent messaging and alignment of strategies.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to integrate user feedback and market trends into content plans and community engagement activities.


  • Proficient in creating engaging and effective written content that captures attention and resonates with our target audience.
  • Prior experience in managing and growing online communities, fostering engagement, and driving a positive community culture.
  • Comfortable with various digital platforms, social media tools, and content management systems.
  • A creative thinker with the ability to come up with original content ideas and innovative community engagement strategies.
  • Strong interest in the fintech industry and a desire to stay updated with the latest trends and advancements.
