Job Description

The Community Manager for Game7 will play a pivotal role in building and maintaining a positive and engaged Web3 gaming nation. The mission is to cultivate a vibrant, inclusive, and active ecosystem where community members thrive, fostering meaningful connections and contributing to the overall success of the Game7 community.

Discord Management:

  • Own all events conducted in the Game7 Discord: AMAs, community handouts, game nights, etc.
  • Oversee daily operations on Discord, ensuring a vibrant and positive atmosphere.
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to implement bots and strategies that enhance member engagement.
  • Rebuild the server to facilitate over 500K users.

Growth and Engagement:

  • Own the growth in both size and engagement of the community.
  • Provide reasons for any slowdown and suggest solutions, with the team’s full support.

Customer Service:

  • Own the customer service side of Discord.
  • Measure time to response, time to solution, and work closely with the team to ensure excellent user service.

Moderator Oversight:

  • Manage and coordinate a team of moderators to ensure effective community moderation.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Community to track and evaluate moderator performance.

Community Management:

  • Act as a liaison between the community and the core team, representing the voice of the users internally.
  • Collaborate with the Governance Steward to support community-led initiatives and ensure they align with community goals.
  • Activate and empower community members to take responsibility and lead IRL events in collaboration with the governance steward.

Guardians Management:

  • Lead the Game7 Guardians, valuable community members volunteering in the community.
  • Provide support for coordinating activities with selected Guardians.

Communication and Transparency:

  • Facilitate transparent communication by providing regular updates and addressing community concerns.
  • Collaborate with the team to organize regular town halls and AMA sessions.
  • Collaborate with the team to organize regular community events (like game nights and tournaments).

Community Strategy:

  • Collaborate with different departments and head of community to develop and implement community growth, engagement and retention strategies.
  • Contribute insights for the overall community roadmap.

Your craft

  • Proven experience as a Community Manager or similar role in the Web3 space.
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of Discord and community management tools.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Experience managing and coordinating online events and initiatives.
  • Familiarity with Web3, gaming, and blockchain gaming ecosystems.
  • Fluent English.
